Feeling old

I was talking to someone about having to use Visual Basic 6 for something. The looked perplexed and asked if it was a .Net language that they had not heard of yet.

I think I could have said that I used stone tablets and the response would have probably been the same.

Writing for me is hard

Writing for me is hard. Doesn't matter if it is here on a blog, on the GMAT, or in an email message.

Something about putting it on "paper" that does it. I can come up with wonderful things to say in my mind or in talking with
my wife. But once I get infront of the keyboard, poof, they are gone.

A few weeks ago I was at a birthday party for the daughter of some friends and while there an experienced blogger
(I believe he reviews cars) was talking to a couple of high school kids about what it takes to become a writer. His advice
was to write every day. Only by writing every day can you find your voice, your style. That has stuck with me.

So the question becomes, how important to me is it to write?

Is it important enough for me to write every day?

Change is painful. Can I go though the pain of making writing a habit?

Write only for yourself. Can I write only for me. Not the world, just me?

Pefection. Can I be unconcerned with making it perfect?

We will see...
